Slayton is a great, friendly neighborhood with impressive new homes built in recent years. Summer and fall invite invigorating outdoor pursuits to residents and visitors. Hike, ride, and watch all sorts of wildlife and birds. The area is also popular with cyclists due to its low traffic and paved roads. You will find fewer rock formations on this side of Flagstaff.
LOCATION
Slayton is located in the pines, on the east side of town. Slayton Ranch Road begins at Townsend-Winona road is around 5 miles long and ends turning into the North East end of Doney Park. Minutes away from I-40, the mall, and town, but does not have the traffic congestion one gets near the University and Snow Bowl routes.
Slayton is on a county maintained road that is a school bus route so it is plowed very promptly when it gets any snow.
